Bethany is a born and raised Massachusetts girl who lived here after college and fell in LOVE with NC! She has a degree in Movement Science but fell in love with Bartending when she moved here.
Bethany recently got married and has enjoyed raising her son Cole for the past 16 years!
She has been working at Joe Fish Casual Seafood since they opened in January 2007. She’s the “OG” of the Fish!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is the best. We are the life of the party and the loudest people in any room. My son is my CLONE! I can’t ever be mad at him when he is the same!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been bartending since I moved here in 2002. I’ve been at my current job since they opened in 2007. Joe Fish Casual Seafood in a Mooresville. I never would have dreamed this would be where my life took me but I would never change it. I have met the best people working here that are not just my customers they are my family. A lot of them were at my wedding in September
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Lake Norman?*
Besides Joe Fish…. I love Phoenix for their sushi and ON THE NINES for their brunch!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in Lake Norman?*
I have been in Mooresville since 2002
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?*
Italy!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
To ALWAYS be yourself. You might not be liked by everyone but you will always be loved by the ones that count.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To move somewhere tropical where my hilusband be a scuba instructor and I can have a TOM CRUISE cocktail tiki shop on the beach.
Q: Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!

Q: If someone was visiting Lake Norman for the first time, what’s one thing you would tell them they HAVE to do here on their trip?
They have to cruise around the lake. It is simply beautiful. Also put on some sneakers and walk around Lake Norman State Park. The outdoors here in NC is amazing!
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?*
That is tough because I am an OPEN BOOK with no filter to everyone…. but most people would probably be most surprised that I cry at almost every show I watch! Even the comedies! I am tough as nails but such a softie! I can cry at the movie RUDY. EVERYTIME! I know how it ends but I always cry!
Q: What is your favorite pizza topping?
Meat!!!! The more the meat the better! I am a carnivore.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My son! Even though he is almost 17 it has always been Me and Him! I know he looks at everything I do, good bad and ugly! He makes me ALWAYS strive to be the best because I want him to say YEAH THATS MY Mom!
Q: Finally, what would be your #1 “wish list” feature for your dream house?
A slide from top floor to the bottom! Maybe not now but when I can’t do stairs in my old age I wanna go down with a WHHHHHEEEEEEEE! Every day of my life!
